Men “the Master” Nguyen’s resume has gotten more impressive.
A 55-year-old pro from Bell Gardens, California, Nguyen defeated Brandon Adams heads-up to win Event 10, the Seven-Card Stud World Championship, at the 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The win is Nguyen’s seventh at the WSOP. Overall, he has made 38 final tables and cashed 67 times at the World Series. “This is very, very big for me,” Nguyen said. “The last two bracelets I won were in 2003, and now it’s 2010.” For Adams, a graduate student at Harvard, the cash was his tenth at a WSOP. Michael Mizrachi, the winner of Event 2, was sixth, while Vladimir Schmelev (seventh) made his second final table of 2010.
