Concerns over counting may be a thing of the past. Gaming Partners International (GPI), at the 2010 International Gaming Expo in London, is scheduled to introduce a new way of constructing poker chips. The technology, RFIDPoker, is designed to eliminate errors and make things faster at the table. To prevent mistakes relative to the determination of pot size, every chip contains an RFID chip, which also allows the size of a stack to be counted during a hand. GPI reports that the chips will enable players to see as many as 30 percent more hands per hour. The 2010 International Gaming Expo runs from January 26-28.
